Redsn0w 0.9.10b2 (Beta2) Released

Update #2: The b2 version of redsn0w includes the launchctl-related fix by @planetbeing as mentioned by @saurik here and here. As usual, you can just re-run redsn0w in jailbreak mode over your existing 5.0.1 jailbreak (even a PwnageTool one), making sure to de-select “Install Cydia” if you do. Always be sure to do a controlled “slide to power off” shutdown of your device before running redsn0w.

after this. run redsnow again (YES) this time it will install Cydia.. but it wont work to start it.
Run red snow again. This time all will be completed and you will have a fully working jailbroken 3.0 firmware iphone.

It takes 4 times of running the redsnow to get it to function properly.

3. Enjoy jailbroken 3.0 firmware iphone.

Wish to unlock it ? Well it can be done if the bootloader in the phone is 5.08 ..

Heres how.

after completing step 1,2,3.

4. go to CYDIA. update cydia (complete upgrade)

5. search for packages type in "FUZZYBAND"

6. Install fuzzyband application

7. Open Fuzzyband, it will run and tell you which bootloader version you have and if it can be downgraded.

8. UNLOCK USING ultrasn0W*

Note: only a small amount of iphones have 5.08 most are 6.02 or 6.04
